Ucapan Selamat Hari Lahir dan Takziah

I always look forward to 1st Aug every year because it's my eldest son's and my cousin, Rita's birthday. Selalunya I tak pernah lupa sebab dah set dalam handphone. Jadi, bila datang 1hb Ogos 09, I pun hantarlah birthday wishes to both of them.

My cousin's reply - "I wish things are better with my mother. She is getting better after the operation." Oh ya, her mother, who is my aunty, wasn't well for so long. She was diabetic and both her kidneys failed. She had to have her leg amputated due to diabeties. Rita said she looked better and she will, insyaallah gets better.

However, I got an sms - "Mak Njang Ani dah meninggal jam 5 ptg tadi". Innalillah....dalam kesedihan aku redha dgn ketentuan Illahi. Allahyarhamah sudah lama sakit, dia terlalu uzur dalam usia 74 thn. Allah membersihkan dosa2 beliau dgn memberi kesakitan kepadanya. Wallahuallam...

Sekarang cuma tinggal 3 orang dari generasi terdekat Tok Ramlah...(lebih dikenali dgn Tok Melah). Ibuku dah 4 tahun meninggalkan kami. Yang masih sihat ialah Mak Teh, Makcik dan Mak Su.

Aku turut pulang ke kampung menziarahi Mak Njangku hingga jenazah dibawa ke masjid. Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atas roh Mak Njangku. Al-Fatihah!

Miss Lim was the teacher. Dia ni suka suruh kami cari uban dia masa time rehat...sabar ajelah... Masa sekolah rendah dulu tak berapa best for me sebab I tak berapa nakal. Masa tu jadi prefect dan tak berapa bercakap dengan lelaki - malu gila...

I wonder where are all of my friends now??? I only keep in touch with a handful of them, till now.

How time flies!!!

Tengok gambar ni....ni masa Darjah 5 - 2nd row, 5th from right. Gosh...nak tergelak pun ada bila tengok gambar ni...the naive looking girl, then!

My teacher was Ms Lim. I can't remember what she taught us then, but I can never forget how she loved to ask us to pull out her gray hairs during break time. How pathetic!!!

I wonder where are all my friends from this class now??? I do keep in touch with only a handful of them till now.

Goodbye Ben

I finally sold off my sugar glider! I am sorry Ben...I think you are better off with someone else.

Ben, the sugar glider

I bought this sugar glider two weeks ago. I was excited when I listened to the seller about how interesting to keep a sugar glider. He said I can bring him/her around in a pouch or let it linger on my shoulder when I do my shopping.

However, it turned out to be so boring. I named him Ben. He sleeps through almost all the time - actually sugar glider will sleep in the day time and wakes up at night. Isn't it the opposite to our life? It's really boring...I can't even take it out anywhere coz he's such a sleepy head!!!!

My Pets

I have 3 beautiful cats - Cleopatra, Bella and Chopper. It's really comforting just looking at them. But they do get to my nerves sometimes, especially if they decided to just poop anywhere they liked. Actually it's my boys' fault for not letting them out first before locking the door.

Before I ended keeping these 3 cats, I actually have 6 altogether. It was really time consuming taking care all of them. It's costly too! Before the neighbours start to complain about the cats littering their compound, I have to give them away. I am sorry Dottie, Che Pot and Bob, I have to let you go...

MICHAEL JACKSON - KING OF POP

Pagi 25hb June 09, rasa hairan bila naik kereta, radio station asyik pasang lagu MJ aje...terdetik di hati..."MJ mati ke???" Akhirnya...DJ radio pun mengesahkannya.

I am MJ's fan but not a fanatic one! I always love his videos...I can watch them over and over again. My children don't really know and like his videos until after he died. Now all the younger generations start to love him. To me..., I will always remember his videos until the day I die.

Another reunion

This time it was with my ex-BBMB colleagues. We had this reunion on 28th June 09 at Kelab Darul Ehsan. Though not many turned up, it was a really good start.
I was really surprised to find out that 90% of them are still with the bank although it's now called CIMB. What a bunch of loyal people!
Well, I am happy to see Shah, Hisham, Taha, Saadiah, Salmah, Nurul, Azmi and Rahim again. Hopefully the next reunion we will see more people there.

Reunion - ITM seniors & juniors

We had our reunion on 22nd June 09 at my house. It was really, really fun!!! Luckily my neighbours did not send the security guards to ask us to stop the noise. Everybody seemed to be talking all at the same time...!!!

Youngest son - Ahmad Zikry Rashid

Orang selalu kata anak bongsu selalu dimanjakan...dan anak tu sendiri pun memang manja jugak...well...memang betul!!!

Zikry was 1 year old when I asked for the final divorce (talak ke 3). He was a baby! Kesian memang kesian tapi staying married will even cause more problems and will even make my children unhappy to see us fight everyday. Zikry grows up without a father's love. Till now his father doesn't really care about him. All he knows is to give money whenever Zikry asked for it! Well...it's better than nothing right???

Zikry is always concern about his hair - it drove me mad at times! He will be the last person to get ready whenever we want to go out for dinner. I have to nag everytime!!!

Anyway...that's the fun of raising (single handedly) 4 boys who have now turned to good looking young men! I am proud of myself and I can't thank Allah enough for giving me the strength to do by myself. HE has never left my side, that...I know for sure.

3rd son - Ikram Al-Rashid

Nama manjanya - Bobo. Asalnya pasal dia ni botak when he was young. My friend Rizal (Fido) decided to call him Bobo instead of Botak. So, melekatlah nama tu sampai sekarang.

Bobo has some characters of my ex-husband which I hated and I want him to change - his couldn't care less attitude drives me to the wall at times. When asked for his favour, it will take weeks...if I am lucky...otherwise, it will take months...My ex used to do this as well.

Many of my friends said he's good looking - of course better looking than his father! He has me to thank for!

How do you think I will look in 10 years time...

I forwarded this cartoon picture to my good friends - Norita and Alinda. I said this is how we will look like when we reach 60 years old. Norita will probably look like the 1st one from left and Ali will definitely look like the one in the middle...

Me..??? I think it could be the last one on the right. What do you think??? Ha..ha...so funny!

Ku temui damai di hati...

Semenjak berhenti kerja 2 bulan yg lalu, masa ku dihabiskan di sessi2 ceramah yang banyak sekali di seluruh Shah Alam. Ustaz kata, kalau di kawasan kita tinggal ada banyak majlis ilmu tapi kita tak pernah pergi pun, hukumnya dah jadi berdosa...

So, setiap hari aku akan ke Taman Kesenian Islam di sebelah Masjid Negeri Shah Alam. Setiap hari ada 2 sessi dari jam 9.00-10.00 dan sambung 1 lagi sessi hingga ke jam 11 atau 11.30 pagi. Ya Allah...aku bersyukur sangat2 sebab dapat peluang ini sebelum terlambat. Setiap hari aku menimba ilmu, terasa diri ni terlalu jahil...macam2 tak tahu....setiap sessi banyak yang aku dapat! Terasa macam budak baru belajar. Setiap pembelajaran amat bermakna bagi aku...

Ya Allah...berilah aku hidayahMu dalam aku menimba ilmu ini...biarlah setiap langkah aku ke sessi ceramah agama ini diberkati olehMu....bimbinglah aku untuk menafaatkan ilmu yg aku pelajari...Amin...Ya Rabbalalamin...

Panduan Persatuan Pengguna Pulau Pinang

I attended 2 sessions of talks/presentations on the Halal Haram dalam makanan oleh Jishah Corporation (http://www.g-shah.com/). Scary...semua makanan yg pernah kita makan disahkan tidak halal oleh Persatuan Pengguna Pulau Pinang.

Buku yg saya kepilkan adalah buku penting untuk semua umat Islam - a must have book at home!!!

MasyaAllah....sedih...marah...geram...semua rasa bercampur baur! Tanda logo halal yang dicetak di setiap produk belum tentu menjamin halalnya produk itu 100%.

Well...kalau nak cerita memang panjang...belilah buku ni kat kedai2 buku (itu pun kalau ada lagi...dengar cerita, buku ni dibeli di semua kedai2 buku oleh giant companies kemudian dibuang. They don't want the muslims to buy this book.

Anak kedua - Degil???

Well....Danial is my 2nd son...yes, he is stubborn when he was small and was the most difficult kid to handle. He's so hyperactive...maybe he just wanted some attention from me...or...?????

There have been a lot of surveys done on people who are born as eldest, 2nd,...so on....All of the surveys concluded the same thing - being 2nd in the family make you very independent...strong headed...but caring....

I agreed with all of the above coz I am also 2nd in the family...my son has all of my characters. That's why I have less worries for Danial coz I knew he is a survivor - very, very much like his mum!!!

Gerai "Mee Rebus Pak Chop"

My eldest son, Syafiq Al-Rashid is a cook. I can tell you that he can really cook! I never knew that he has interest in cooking in the 1st place...he has never cooked for me or for his younger brothers before!
Anyway...On 2nd June 09, he now owns a stall at Taman Alam Megah, Seksyen 28, just opposite KFC. He is selling Pak Chop's best selling mee rebus in Kampung Subang area, after 2 weeks training with Pak Chop. So far so good, he sold all of it every night!!! With the support of his friends and mine, I am sure Mee Rebus Pak Chop will be the talk of the town...I can guarantee you that it's really delicious!!! You should try it!

Early Retirement

On the 10th June will be my 2nd month of retirement. I have opted for this early retirement when my former company offered VSS package to the staff.

Initially, it was really a tough decision...being a single mum of 4 growing boys, I thought I will have to work until I die, but when this opportunity turned up, I just can't stop thinking about it. Morever, my 3 boys have turned to handsome men, all of them are working now...I am only left with one aged 15. So, after a lot of turmoil going through my system, I finally filled up the VSS form and submitted.

Thank Allah swt...they accepted it! So, 10th April was my last day with them after almost 14 years of service. Alhamdulillah for the handsome package...at least it's a pay off for all the hard work during my tenure there.
